Is the data hand-curated or automated?
Both, deliberately. The artist roster (spanning RCA, Yale, Goldsmiths, Parsons, RISD, LASALLE, KNUST and more) is hand-curated, name by name. The signal layer is then drawn automatically from public press, social, encyclopedic and editorial sources, refreshed on rolling cadences. Hand-curation guarantees relevance; automation guarantees recency.
How is "emerging" defined?
A graduate from a tracked MFA programme within the last 5 years. We index the full RCA Painting MA cohort, Yale MFA Painting/Printmaking/Photography/Sculpture, Goldsmiths, Slade, Columbia, Parsons, RISD, LASALLE Singapore, and the KNUST/blaxTARLINES Ghana network. Every emerging artist carries a structured education trail.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel from your account page anytime; access continues until the end of the billing period. Paid tiers start with a 3-day trial; a card is required to begin it, and you can cancel before it ends to avoid any charge.
What does "Artlex rationale" actually mean?
For every scored artist, Artlex reads the structured signal data (press counts, cultural velocity, gallery exhibitions, social followers, identity verification) and writes a 2-4 sentence explanation grounded in the numbers. Example: "Shaqúelle Whyte 72/BUY. Institutional validation at the highest level: solo at White Cube (tier-1, 2026) and Hauser & Wirth placement anchor a credible breakout trajectory." Cited, evidenced, never hand-wavy.
Do you sell my watchlist or trading patterns?
No. Data export is one click. Account deletion is permanent and cascades to all dependent rows. Our infrastructure providers (database, payments, Artlex reasoning) are all GDPR-compliant and EU-hosted where applicable. DPAs available for Institutional customers.
