Corrections

Last updated 03 Jun 2026

Data goes wrong. Galleries change, exhibitions get re-attributed, biographical facts surface that contradict earlier sources. When Artlex corrects a material factual error, we log it here.

Every entry on this page corresponds to a Git commit in the public Artlex repository, so the history is itself the audit trail. Material corrections include things like wrong gallery representation, mis-attributed exhibitions, mistaken identity between same-named artists, and methodology changes.

Spotted something wrong? Use the factual-error form. We read every report and correct what we can. We fix facts; we do not negotiate scores.

No corrections recorded yet. The log starts the moment the first reported error ships a fix. Empty here is not a claim of perfection; it just means no material error has been corrected since the log went live.

What we do and don't correct

We correct: wrong gallery representation, wrong school or graduation year, mistaken identity between same-named artists, wrong exhibition date or venue, duplicate profiles, biographical errors with a verifiable source.

We don't correct: disagreements with a rating, opinions about an artist's importance, or requests to suppress unfavourable signal. Score disagreements are not factual errors and aren't logged here.
